Surgery wasn’t a place I had high on my bucket list, yet nevertheless, I got to cross it off this year. Stitched up and bed-bound, let’s just say that July was not a fun month.  Though it did give me lots of time to think in between Percocet-induced hallucinations.  I’d like to tell you that I had a few great thoughts or a revelation or two but I honestly can’t remember.  The month of July was like being trapped in a rolling fog – and one that I am quite happy to forget.
